Former Attorney General Bill Barr hasn’t been doing himself any favors, lately. The one-time Trump ally has recently come out to slander the 45th president. He refuses to cop to his role in the disaster that was the 2020 Election. Despite daming evidence, he maintains nothing suspicious happened during the election. Clearly, the possible RINO is just trying to win over the establishment by propping up the real “Big Lie.”
But maybe some sense got knocked into old Bill. Not enough for him to go back to supporting Trump. He must have realized that, if he wants to see copies of his book, he needs to win over most Americans, especially conservatives. Perhaps that’s why he recently came out swinging against Joe Biden. With news that the New York Times lied about the validity of the Hunter Biden laptop, Barr called out the “president.”
Former Attorney General Bill Barr on Monday ripped President Joe Biden, saying he “lied” about the authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop, which includes a trove of emails about Hunter’s business dealings, as well as graphic photos.
“I was very disturbed during the debate when candidate Biden lied to the American people about the laptop. He’s squarely confronted with the laptop, and he suggested that it was Russian disinformation and pointed to the letter written by some intelligence people that was baseless – which he knew was a lie,” Barr said on Fox News. “And I was shocked by that.” [Source: Daily Wire]
It seems like old Bill wants to have his cake and eat it too. He tried to butter up the liberal establishment recently, when he criticized Trump’s ongoing allegations over the 2020 Election. That was so he could get claps on the Today Show, when he was hawking his book to the left. But when it came time to speak on Fox News, he laid into Biden and his son.
Barr claimed that Joe Biden lied about the Hunter Biden laptop when he said it was Russian disinformation. We know for certain that the laptop was in fact owned by Hunter and the documents on it are real. That can land Biden in a whole lot of hot water, if the FBI bothers to investigate.
But why didn’t Bill Barr bother to look into it himself—when he was in charge of the DOJ? President Trump asked him about it and Barr apparently said, “I can’t talk about that, and I am not going to.” Really, Bill? But now that you’re no longer the Attorney General, with no power to properly prosecute and bring the Bidens to justice, you can talk about it? You can even call the “president” a liar?
How convenient that he suddenly found his tongue, just as he is trying to offload some of his birdcage liner—I mean, his new book? It’s tragic that there were some Republicans who so quickly turned on Trump after the sham that was the 2020 Election. Barr, as the chief law enforcement agent in the country, was the worst. Perhaps he’ll learn his lesson.
