When Donald Trump was president, the country found a balance between protecting the environment and keeping the lights on. But for some reason, Democrats aren’t capable of “saving the earth” and keeping people alive at the same time.
Their obsession with “environmentalism” has taken them over the deep end. Biden’s commitment to pandering to green extremists pushed him to shut down our fossil fuel industry. That triggered skyrocketing gas prices, putting regular Americans under financial stress.
And now, the far-left Democrats in California are set to make things much worse.
In an attempt to battle climate change, some California cities are rejecting the construction of new gas stations.
Officials of a Sonoma County city north of San Francisco were the first in the game when they stopped the development of a gas station there last year. “We didn’t know what we were doing, actually,” Petaluma Councilwoman D’Lynda Fischer told Yahoo News. “We didn’t know we were the first in the world when we banned gas stations.”
Since that decision, four other cities in the Bay Area have done the same.
The average price per gallon in California is now $6.06, according to AAA. In one county, the price is $7.11.
The movement is now making its way to Los Angeles, with 13 million residents in the city and surrounding area. The city has already been slow to grant new stations, approving one to two new stations per year from 2016 to 2021, excluding 2017, Yahoo reported. [Source: Daily Wire]
Either these Democrats are evil or they are so out-of-touch they don’t realize the damage they are causing. Democrat-run cities in California are banning the creation of new gas stations, in their aggressive agenda to shut down fossil fuels for good.
It appears these morons think that by just banning the use of gasoline, people will have no choice but to buy Teslas!
That kind of reasoning is so idiotic and cruel, that we can’t even begin to understand it.
The Biden administration has echoed the same sentiments. His radical (and compromised) energy secretary constantly claims the solution to the gas crisis is for more people to switch to alternative fuels.
It hasn’t even occurred to these socialists that most Americans can’t afford an electric car, which cost sometimes double that of a regular car.
(Nor do these Democrats admit that electric vehicles are more harmful to the environment since their batteries will one day end up polluting a landfill).
Nope, instead, these imbeciles push extreme policies that only benefit the rich. Working- and middle-class Americans are forced to pay ever-rising gas prices, watching their wealth and prosperity get chipped away.
Which, of course, was the left’s plan all along. They’re not really interested in sharing the wealth, but hoarding it all for themselves.
