After Blaming Others for High Gas Prices–Biden Takes Credit for Small Decrease

Let’s go over this again, since some people refuse to admit the truth. When Joe Biden entered office, he signed a mountain of executive orders targeting our energy industry. Not only did he shut down drilling for oil on federal land, but he also imposed severe environmental regulations that increased the cost of refining what oil we do have.

The result was ever-increasing gas and energy prices. They skyrocketed when Putin invaded Ukraine because apparently, we were getting a tremendous amount of oil from Russia. Prices almost reached $6/gallon as the national average (with some places seeing it higher). The extremely high costs are the major contributor to inflation.

Yet Biden refused to take the blame, accusing Putin, energy companies, and even your local gas station (not to mention Republicans).

Over the last month, gas prices have gone down by a fraction of a dollar, as oil prices declined. And although he refused to take the blame for high prices, Biden was happy to take credit for this.

President Joe Biden bragged Monday that gas prices had fallen below five dollars a gallon, demanding credit for the downtick in cost.

“Gas prices have been dropping for 34 days straight, about 50 cents a gallon,” he boasted on social media. “That saves the average driver about $25 a month.”

The president immediately took credit for lower gas prices, even though they are still two dollars a gallon higher than when he first took office…

For months, Biden has blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin and the war in Ukraine for rising energy prices, referring to it as “Putin’s price hike.”

But the White House on Monday tried to claim credit for the slight price dip. [Source: Breitbart]

Yay! You are now saving $0.50 per gallon! That will bring back all the money you lost over the last year and a half!

Gas prices have declined, slightly and slowly, due to a decline in the price of oil. But the change has more to do with a drop in demand, as Americans (and people all over the world) have cut back on travel because of high prices.

Biden is trying to take credit… yet what the hell did he do to lower prices? Nothing, that’s what. His big “solution” was to release millions of barrels of oil from our strategic reserves. That was months ago and he sold much of it to China and other countries. That move didn’t even lower gas by more than $0.10.

(And he had to replenish the reserves by buying more oil, driving the price up again.)

Biden’s done nothing to address this crisis. His cronies used it to push costly electric vehicles, which most Americans can’t afford.

Now, he wants to take credit for a small dip he had nothing to do with? When gas prices are still two dollars a gallon higher than the day he entered office?

And he wonders why his approval is below 30%!
