Make no mistake: Texas is at the center of the battle over the Southern border. Because it shares the longest part of the border with Mexico, the lion’s share of illegal aliens entering America is coming into Texas. These invaders, smuggled in by drug cartels, have wreaked havoc with Texas communities.
Biden refuses to do anything, so the Texas governor got created. He’s been bussing thousands of illegal immigrants to Northern, blue-run cities, mostly Washington, D.C. and New York. Suddenly, the leftist mayors of these cities are ticked off. They both have complained that they are spending too much time and resources dealing with these illegals (hilarious).
And now, Gov. Abbott is calling them out.
Texas GOP Governor Greg Abbott, throwing down the gauntlet to two Democrat mayors who have recently complained about illegal immigrants, invited them to come to Texas and have a first-hand look at the crisis at the southern border.
Abbott addressed New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser. Adams recently complained that the burgeoning number of illegal immigrants in his city comprised a “real burden” on his city; Bowser has been complaining for weeks that the number of immigrants arriving in buses sent by Abbott and Arizona GOP Governor Doug Ducey “have reached tipping points.” […]
“As Governor, I invite you to visit our border region to see firsthand the dire situation that only grows more urgent with each passing day, and to meet with the local officials, who like yourselves, realize this matter deserves immediate federal action.” [Source: Daily Wire]
Wow, talk about hypocrisy. Adams and Bowser said nothing when Arizona and Texas were overrun with illegal aliens. They made not a peep when dozens of illegals were found dead in a truck in San Antonio. But when a few too many showed up on their doorstep, suddenly they are concerned with the burden these outsiders pose to their strapped cities.
Oh, Texas was burdened with these people? The small border towns that have been trampled over by cartels and smugglers, they could handle this chaos better than New York City!?
I find it hilarious that these Democrats didn’t care about illegal immigration and Biden’s open border, until it hit home. It looks like Abbott’s plan is starting to make waves. He called on these two mayors to visit the border, so they can understand just how horrific the situation has become.
Millions of illegals are bombarding the border. Scores of them die along the way. The open border Biden created has become so lucrative to drug cartels, they are making more money smuggling aliens into the U.S. than drugs.
And thanks to Biden (and the Supreme Court) the situation will not get better anytime soon. But if two mayors—from two of the largest liberal cities in the country—were willing to admit this needs to change, something might change.
But will Adams and Bowser bother to take up Abbott’s offer? Hey, if he keeps sending these aliens, they might not have a choice.
