Red-State Governor Causes Chaos And Confusion In New York

Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat, stated that he was “considering” chartering a busload of New Yorkers to travel to Texas and assist in the campaign against Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican.

He made the statements when asked if he was joining any attempt to remove Abbott.

“I already phoned all of my Texas pals and instructed them on how to vote,” he added. “And I’m seriously considering driving a busload of New Yorkers down to Texas and doing some grassroots door-to-door campaigning because we have to, for the sake of America, we have to get him out.”

The remarks were the latest in a series of feudal activities carried out by opposing political party governors. Adams has slammed Abbott for sending busloads of people from the border state to his city.

“There’s nothing more anti-American than what he’s doing right now,” Adams added.

The mayor said he was told by several people that they wanted to live with their relatives in other cities, but was disappointed that Abbott relocated them to New York City without notice or coordination with his team.

Governor Abbott said he issued the new policy to send migrants to “sanctuary cities” like New York City because of the federal government’s lack of involvement in addressing the immigration crisis.

“As a result of Pres. Biden’s refusal to acknowledge the problem caused by his open border policies, the State of Texas has been forced to take extreme measures to safeguard our communities,” reads a statement from Abbott.

“I’m hoping he keeps his word and welcomes all immigrants with open arms so that our overburdened and overwhelmed border towns may find some relief,” wrote Abbott about Mayor Adams.

In the face of a surge in illegal immigration from Texas, Mayor Adams has called on the White House for additional assistance to address the city’s needs.

The Texas governor has also sent buses full of people to Washington, D.C., prompting Mayor Muriel Bowser to ask for help from the National Guard to deal with the thousands of new arrivals in her city. On Friday, the secretary of defense officially denied the request.
