After the raid on former President Trump’s home in Florida, FBI Director Christopher Wray stated that the agency has faced “deplorable and dangerous” threats.
In response to various threats surfacing on the internet, particularly on Gab, Wray stated that “violence against police is not the answer.”
“I’m always concerned about dangers to law enforcement,” Wray said. “No matter who you’re angry with, violence against cops is never the answer.”
Wray declined to address the FBI’s March 13th raid of former president Trump’s private home at Mar-a-Lago, which saw agents scouring his private office and former first lady Melania Trump’s clothes. In a story published by The New York Post.
FBI agents examined Melania Trump’s clothing and spent several hours rummaging through President Trump’s office, breaking his safe open and going through drawers as they raided his mansion in Florida Monday morning.
“The FBI gained access to the palatial Palm Beach property using a search warrant that targeted only presidential records and any evidence of possible classified information being kept there, according to sources familiar with the operation.”
“According to a source near to the former president, is worried that FBI agents or federal government lawyers executing the search may have “planted stuff” since they would not let Trump’s lawyers inside the mansion to watch the operation, which took nine hours.”
The raid was widely slammed by both GOP members and Trump’s supporters as a blatant attempt to seize power by the Biden Justice Department, comparing it to third-world dictator tactics. Biden’s apologists and the left have all condemned those responses, calling them an irresponsible language that might lead to violence. Levin claims in an essay for Vanity Fair that heated comments about how the Biden administration is using law enforcement agencies to harm a political opponent will result in another January 6.
“It’s not hard to think where this sort of talk might lead people, because something close to this happened 19 months ago, on Jan. 6, 2021. However, it appears that Team Trump is unconcerned about such events,” said Levin.
