Last week, Florida and other parts of the country were hammered by Hurricane Ian. The Category 4 storm was one of the strongest to hit Florida in history. The state’s leadership, headed up by Gov. DeSantis, are working around the clock to provide rescue and recovery efforts.
Normally, the federal government has provided aid during natural disasters. That aid is provided to all Americans hit by a storm. Many have lost their homes, possessions, and livelihoods. It could take months, if not years, for parts of Florida to rebuild.
But, if Kamala Harris had here way, only certain people would get federal relief. And her idiotic comments have struck up a firestorm.
Vice President Kamala Harris dodged a question asking her if she could explain what she meant when stating that the Biden administration would take “equity” into account when disbursing natural disaster relief…
“It is our lowest-income communities and our communities of color that are most impacted by these extreme conditions,” Harris said. “We have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity.” […]
Christina Pushaw, rapid response director for Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign, said on Twitter that the comment by Harris is false.
“This is false. [Harris’] rhetoric is causing undue panic and must be clarified,” said Pushaw. “FEMA Individual Assistance is already available to all Floridians impacted by Hurricane Ian, regardless of race or background.” [Source: Fox News]
How stupid can a Democrat get? This moron actually said the government would give out hurricane relief “based on equity.” This imbecile really said that certain people would get help over others–based entirely on their race.
Which, of course, suggests that white Americans (who just lost their homes, businesses, and in some cases, loved ones) will get overlooked by the government BECAUSE OF THEIR SKIN COLOR.
This is where Democrats are going, folks. They want an American that puts some people above others, because of perceived inequality based on skin color.
A tiny-brained person like Harris thinks that because someone is white, they can financially recover faster from a hurricane. And because someone is black, they will have a harder time recovering.
Um… last time I checked, hurricanes don’t care about people’s race. They destroy everything in their path, “equity” be damned.
But if we really did what Harris is suggesting, then some Floridians will get more relief, because of their race–not what they lost. And other Floridians could get nothing, because the bigoted vice president doesn’t think they deserve it.
Martin Luther King must be rolling in his grave to see idiots like Harris in power.
DeSantis’s rapid relief director had to quickly dismiss Kamala’s statements, in order to avoid panic. The irresponsible “vice president” could have triggered riots and looting. If Floridians really thought they’d be cut out of getting relief over their skin color–imagine what they might have done out of desperation.
But this is what the Democratic Party wants. Americans divided and fighting each other over race. Harris doesn’t care what happens over her reckless and irresponsible comments.
Shouldn’t she be held accountable for that?
