Big surprise, Democrats are getting very desperate as we get closer to the midterms. They are scrambling to do something–anything–that will manipulate voters into not rejecting their failed, morally bankrupt party. Biden “forgave” student loans, but that went over like a lead balloon. He attacked Republicans, calling them “threats to democracy” and got called a fascist.
Now, the party is shifting to legalizing marijuana–a direct violation of federal law. Biden is trying to pardon thousands of marijuana-related offenses. He’s even claimed he “always” supported legalizing the drug, now that his party is poised to lose pathetically in the fall. And Harris was close behind, announcing that this failed presidency is trying to undermine our laws.
But, as usual, her comments revealed what a hypocritical con artist she really is.
Critics ripped into Vice President Kamala Harris over the weekend as video circulated of her claiming that no one should go to jail simply for smoking marijuana…
“And speaking of the system of justice,” Harris began. “We are also changing — y’all might have heard that this week — the federal government’s approach to marijuana.”
As the crowd cheered, Harris continued, “Because the bottom line there is nobody should have to go to jail for smoking weed.” […]
“Shameless. As California Attorney General Harris sent people to jail for …smoking weed.” […]
U.S. Senate Candidate Mark Meuser (R-CA) pointed out: “Clearly, Kamala has forgotten her legacy in California.”
“REMINDER: Kamala Harris has sent at least 1,560 people to prison for marijuana-related offenses,” Steve Guest, special communications advisor to Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) said. [Source: Daily Wire]
Let’s go over the context of these comments, shall we? When Kamala Harris was climbing the political ladder, she served as California’s attorney general. As attorney general, she threw the book at marijuana offenders. She sent thousands of people of people to jail–with long prison sentences–over smoking weed.
Yet now this woman is suddenly on board with legalizing the drug?
Talk about two-faced! When it helped her career, she threw people into jail over minor offenses. But now that it will help her party win the midterms, she is changing her tune.
What do you call people who do that? Oh right, hypocrites.
Just as Democrats are getting reamed for their weak stance on law and order, they embrace a pro-marijuana policy. Keep in mind, crime is the second biggest issue for voters this year. Democrats have spent years defunding police departments, putting criminals back on the streets, and making blue cities much less safe.
And now, just as Americans fear more crime sweeping over their communities, Biden and Harris are talking about legalizing marijuana. Um… how stupid is this party?
If Kamala had a brain, she’d be championing her previous work as AG. She’d be making a big deal about how hard she went on criminals. Instead, she is just another brainless liberal shill, willing to say anything to score a few more votes.
