Woke Newspaper Gets Wrecked by Elon’s Twitter–Musk Celebrates by Blasting Outlet

Justice rarely comes to the dishonest scumbags who produce our mainstream “news.” But once, on a very rare occasion, the leftists who lie to America and prop up the corrupt Democratic Party get what’s going to them.

For years, once-trusted media outlets have lurched farther and farther to the left. Most major newspapers and news websites report on the facts. Instead, they are the propaganda arm for liberal politicians, twisting news stories to help their side. They’ve gotten away with this online, thanks to most social networks being run by the same kind of liberals.

But things are slowly changing. Elon Musk is taking steps to hold users accountable, with new measures. And this time, a liberal outlet got wretched.

The New York Times lost its Twitter verification badge this weekend.

The “Gray Lady,” as the newspaper is known, appears to be among the first accounts to lose its verified status as the social media platform turns to a paid-subscription model…

Twitter said April 1 would be the date it would begin to wind down its legacy verified program and remove verified checkmarks.

Twitter still gives users the option to keep or obtain a verification badge by paying $8 a month for a Blue subscription. Musk has suggested that paid subscriptions would help Twitter combat bots and trolls as well as help the social media platform pay its bills. [Source: Daily Wire]

This is rich. For years, garbage papers like the New York Times were propped up by social networks like Twitter. They gained a following online, thanks to Twitter giving their accounts validity with steps like verification checkmarks. Conservative outlets appeared less reliable, because they were often denied those badges.

But Elon is leveling the playing field by requiring users, including companies, to pay a mere $8 a month for verification. This prevents bot accounts from tricking users, since scammers make hundreds of fake accounts. This pay model will slow them down, because they will not pay money for a badge.

The New York Times spat in Twitter’s face by saying it would not pay for verification. I guess they thought Twitter would fold. Nope. The New York Times’ page is no longer verified. But Musk took an extra step to rub it in the dishonest paper’s face.

Wow. Musk blasted the NYT for being liberal “propaganda” that “isn’t even interesting.” He went on to hammer the NYT’s Twitter feed to being the “equivalent of diarrhea.” Meaning, it was terribly unreadable. Musk recommended that the paper only post its top articles, instead of low-quality content.

For a major figure like Musk to openly blasted the New York Times is amazing. We’ve never seen a celebrity or famous businessman defy a paper like that before. But Musk has continued to hammer the liberal establishment, exposing their hypocrisy and dishonesty.

And I doubt he’s done.
