From everything we’ve seen out of this administration, one thing is clear. Joe Biden is not interested in helping everyday Americans. In fact, most of his decisions have been to the detriment of the average, working family.
Biden seems to think that most Americans are earning six figures. Or, at least, he is only concerned with those that do. His decisions have triggered inflation, high energy prices, and threatened American jobs. But now, he is going even further to punish Americans struggling to make ends meet.
The Biden administration unveiled the most aggressive tailpipe emissions ever crafted as part of its sweeping climate agenda and efforts to push Americans to buy electric vehicles (EV).
The vehicle pollution standards, proposed Wednesday by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and announced by the White House, will impact car model years 2027 through 2032. The White House said the regulations would “protect public health” by achieving carbon emission reductions of nearly 10 billion tons by 2055 and would save consumers an average of $12,000 over the lifetime of vehicles…
Overall, if the regulations are finalized, a staggering 67% of new sedan, crossover, SUV and light truck purchases could be electric by 2032, the White House projected. In addition, up to 50% of bus and garbage truck, 35% of short-haul freight tractor and 25% of long-haul freight tractor purchases could be electric by then. [Source: Fox News]
Joe Biden already forced gas prices to go up staggeringly high. Now, he is making sure most Americans can’t afford to buy a new car. In just a few years, he intends to set emission standards so high, 67% of new cars will be electric.
Which means, by the time your current car needs to be replaced you might not be able to afford a new one. Electric cars cost about twice what a traditional car costs. In some cases, the price could be as much as 4 times higher.
On top of that, electric vehicles lack the range of gas-powered cars. Meaning, no more family road trips (and let’s not forget how much more expensive it will be for companies to ship goods across the country). EVs also require costly equipment to be installed in your home or apartment, increasing the costs.
But Biden doesn’t care. He seems to assume most Americans can afford overpriced, ugly EVs. Those who can’t? Hey, just take the bus!
Biden is only interested in pleasing his environmental overlords. Biden isn’t your president. He is the president of every crooked special interest group that waves a dollar at the Democratic Party. He isn’t making decisions to make your life better, but the lives of rich, corrupt organizations that operate out of D.C.
The only silver lining is that these new standards are challenged by Congress or the courts. Joe might think he’s a dictator, but that delusion only goes so far.
