Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman has missed much of his first year in Congress. He was in the hospital for over 60 days for “clinical depression.” But most believe he has not recovered from a severe stroke–and it shows. You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone outside the Democratic Party who thinks he’s fit for the job.
And he just proved to the world we’re right.
Despite the fact he can’t understand human speech, he is chairing a Senate subcommittee. This week, he returned to office to lead a hearing. As is expected, the lead senator opens a meeting like this with a few remarks. It’s all very standard and not worth our time reporting. Unless, of course, it’s Fetterman.

Uh, what the heck? Is this a joke? Oh, I get it! This is an SNL sketch, right? Because how can any pretend like this is normal? John Fetterman struggled to read his opening remarks during a subcommittee hearing.
Sounding like a bad Norm Macdonald impersonation, Fetterman struggled to read the brief statement about what the hearing was supposed to do. He sounded tired and confused. He came off straining to simply read those words. Yet everyone in the room nodded and smiled as if this was perfectly normal.
Imagine if this was a Republican. Democrats would be jumping up and down demanding he resigns. Every late-night host would be doing bits mocking this man. He is clearly unfit to read a piece of paper, let alone make important decisions that will affect every American in the country.
Yet Democrats just let him flail on as if he’s perfectly fine. Hey, they are doing it to Joe Biden–why wouldn’t they do it to a man like Fetterman? But anyone with a conscience knows this is despicable.
