The state of Montana recently scored a big win for children by outlawing transgender procedures on minors. They follow a series of conservative states taking a stand against the left’s latest, sickening trend.
One member of the Montana legislature was censured for his opposition to the bill. His reckless, violence-inducing words got him into a world of trouble. He even sicced his leftist supporters to storm the state capitol, disrupting proceedings and triggering the riot squad. So much for democracy, huh?
But instead of learning from his mistakes, he sued his own state. Now, a judge is weighing in on the debacle.
A judge has rejected a suit from Montana Democratic state Rep. Zooey Zephyr seeking to return to the state House floor following a censure vote from lawmakers over remarks made during debate on a bill barring transgender care for minors…
“Plaintiffs’ requested relief would require this Court to interfere with legislative authority in a manner that exceeds this Court’s authority,” he wrote, according to the Associated Press.
Montana lawmakers censured Zephyr in late April by a 68-32 margin over the lawmaker’s saying that legislators would have “blood on your hands,” should they approve the legislation. [Source: Just the News]
Montana’s state legislature censured Rep. Zooey Zephyr for his irresponsible words against conservative Americans. A censure is a minor slap on the wrist. It means he can’t speak on the House floor, most likely for a limited time.
But he wanted to make a big stink over it and “punish” the state House for exercising its lawful authority. The censure passed by 68-32 votes. That’s open and shut. Zephyr needed to grow up and take his lumps. What he said could inspire more violence against Americans.
He didn’t care. All he seems to care about it pushing a radical agenda that most Americans appear to oppose. He wanted his 15 minutes in the limelight, so he could win praise from the “woke” media.
Instead, he got shut down. The court refused to undermine the “legislative authority” of the state House.
Democrats use lawsuits as a form of throwing a temper tantrum. The democratic or legislative processes don’t get them what they want. So, they think they can force their warped agenda through the courts.
At least in this case, one leftist didn’t get what he wanted.
