Joe Biden has gone to war with American energy. He shut down fossil fuel production, forcing the cost of gas and energy to jump sky-high. And he’s been trying to coerce companies into embracing his radical, Green New Deal, which will force Americans to purchase “green” tech they cannot afford.
Despite what Democrats claim, most EVs are not ready for prime time. They are too expensive, have a limited range, and become obsolete much faster than gas-powered cars. But that didn’t stop America’s largest car maker from drinking the green Kool-Aid. Ford pumped billions into a new EV campaign. And now, they are making their employees suffer.
More than one thousand Ford Motor employees will be losing their jobs as the company axes positions to make up for a significant loss of revenue due to electric vehicle investment efforts.
Ford is expecting to lose $3 billion in electric vehicle operating profit this year, and the company’s current operating costs are $7 billion to $8 billion, higher than any other competitor, which has forced the company to layoff employees, along with other cost-saving measures, Wall Street Journal reports.
The layoffs will impact at least 1,000 salaried employees in North America with white-color jobs in its electric vehicle and software programming departments. Some employees in Ford’s gas engine and commercial vehicle divisions will also be axed, according to the journal. [Source: The Post Millennial]
Unbelievable. Ford jumped on the left’s “green” bandwagon and dumped billions into producing EVs. But they didn’t look before they leaped and now they stand to lose $3 billion on their electric cars.
This will force the company to lay off more than 1,000 employees, as they scramble to cut costs. Maybe if they just made cars people were buying, they wouldn’t have to leave 1,000 families searching to make ends meet.
No part of Joe Biden’s green dream has actually worked out. States that rushed to build wind turbines off the coast have ended up killing marine life. Americans have been forced to buy energy from foreign nations, which has only helped the likes of Saudi Arabia and China.
But it’s only going to get worse. Biden is pushing radical policies that will make most cars on the road illegal in just a few years. States are pushing new taxes and fees, to make up for the loss of gas revenue. In a short time, Americans might not even be able to afford riding the bus.
Is that what Biden meant when he said he wanted to “finish the job”?
