There are many things to say about the failed presidency of Joe Biden. But the most bizarre and disturbing aspect of this administration just might be its willingness to completely ignore and defy the facts. By all measures, the economy is struggling. Yet Biden claims it’s “strong as hell.” Biden opened the border, creating a national security and humanitarian crisis. He claims the border is fine.
Despite even liberal news outlets calling out the administration, Biden and his staff continue to push dishonest claims. Not that long ago, Biden made a boast that was so outrageous, The Washington Post had to give him, not one, not two, not ten, but “Bottomless Pinocchio’s.” Yet he hasn’t learned a thing.
During a Thursday speech in West Columbia, South Carolina touting what he says is the success of his administration’s economic policies, Biden claimed he had reduced the federal government’s budget deficit by $1.7 trillion since taking office in January 2021…
Biden has made the same claim on numerous occasions and, in April, earned a “Bottomless Pinocchio” rating for it from The Washington Post’s liberal chief fact-checker, Glenn Kessler…
“All told, in those two years Biden increased the national debt about $850 billion more than originally projected,” he said.
“In other words, again the data shows the deficit picture has worsened under Biden,” he added. [Source: Fox News]
Facts don’t like, Joe. But you do. Once again, Biden made the wild claim that he reduced the budget deficit by $1.7 trillion. Uh, isn’t this the guy who’s spending so much money (that we don’t have) that he demanded we raise the debt ceiling… twice!?
Not only is his claim false, but very false.
The Washington Post’s fact-checker says that Biden has actually added to our $850 billion more than what has been projected. Biden hasn’t reduced our deficit, but he has made it much worse.
There is no spinning of the facts that makes Biden’s claim real. Yet he has the audacity to get before the American public and push this bogus line.
Why aren’t more Democrats and media outlets calling out this level of dishonesty? Do Democrats really think they can just say anything–and we’ll believe it? Joe Biden has a long, dark reputation for bending the truth. He was even caught several times plagiarizing others in his speeches.
But these days, he isn’t even trying to hide it. He is totally disconnected from reality, pushing lies that are simply not backed by the facts.
And to think, Democrats call conservatives dishonest!
