Liberal City Rocked by Major Investors’ Move – Huge Firm Could Shut Down City for Good

I don’t have to tell you that most liberal-run cities in America are quickly becoming waste dumps. Radical, socialist policies have rewarded criminals, defunded the police, encouraged drug addiction and homelessness, and put hard-working Americans at risk. Things are unlikely to change any time soon. Democrats in power refuse to admit it’s their fault. And the majority of voters in these cities are too proud to do the same.

That doesn’t change the fact that many major U.S. cities are becoming unlivable. For years, we’ve seen countless Americans flee these cities to Republican-run states. Businesses have closed their doors, leaving communities without help and workers without jobs. Entire downtowns have become shanty towns, full of drug-addicted, dangerous homeless. One major city in particular has become the poster child of failed local Democrat policies. Crime is out of control, the streets are literally filled with feces, and stores that have been around for years are shutting down.

Now, this city could be facing a deathblow, on the news of a major investment.

A few months ago, it was revealed that Flannery Associates, an investment company, has spent nearly $1 billion in the last five years buying up 52,000 acres of dry farmland next to the Travis Air Force Base in Solano County, California. Questions surrounding the purchase have remained unanswered, until now.

The New York Times reported that billionaire venture capitalist Michael Moritz, along with other tech industry moguls, has been purchasing the land with the intention of creating a new California city near San Francisco, which is also within short distance of Silicon Valley.

The vision is to transform tens of thousands of acres into a vibrant metropolis, according to Mr. Moritz and the investors, that would be just as walkable as Paris or the West Village in New York City. In addition, they say, this new city would provide employment for thousands of people. [Source: The Post Millennial]

Okay, let’s walk through this. A major investment concern, Flannery Associates, has spent up to $1 billion to buy land near Silicon Valley. This company has courted support from major tech executives and venture capitalists. Their goal is to build a brand new city as a home for folks working within the tech sector.

Gee… why didn’t these investors just buy up land in San Franciso? Why aren’t they trying to revitalize parts of this large, historic city?

Because San Francisco is a lost cause. Not only is it overrun with crime and drug abuse, but the idiots who run it have passed laws preventing new housing development. Democrats are literally killing the housing market, driving up prices, and forcing Americans into the streets.

These investors are not interested in improving a dead city, but building a new one that will quickly rival it.

Imagine if a new city springs up overnight near Silicon Valley. It promises to be nothing like San Francisco. In fact, the people who create it will make sure the very policies that are destroying SF are not welcome there.

How long before most people leave San Francisco to live in this new city? Not long at all.

If this venture works out, this new city could totally replace San Francisco. SF will become the new Detroit, an empty husk populated only by criminals and homeless.

But, in the end, San Francisco did it to themselves. Had they elected conservative leaders to protect and defend their laws, something like this would have never happened.
