Across America, progressive Democrats have been influencing schools, local governments, and businesses. They have mandated the use of their politically correct policies and terms. Much of it has irritated or outraged Americans, who are turning on this “woke” movement.
But not every state is embracing this leftist agenda. Many Republican-led state governments have been issuing policies that protect the traditions and values embraced by generations of Americans.
That includes the state of Arkansas. Gov. Sarah Sanders just signed an order to shut down one of the left’s favorite pastimes: reinventing language. And she is prohibiting words that she says “erase” women.
Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, R-Ark., is setting the record straight on femininity in Arkansas, introducing an executive order to mandate the use of gender-specific terms when describing women and “prohibit the use of woke, anti-women words for official state government business.”…

In direct defiance of recent White House policies–along with the policies of many corporations and state governments–Gov. Sanders of Arkansas is banning the use of terms that erase the gender specificity of women.
The new order requires state agencies to use vague, gender “neutral” terms to refer to women. Just this Spring, Arkansas issued a memo on drinking water that referred to “pregnant people,” rather than “pregnant women.”
Common sense acknowledges that only biological women can become pregnant. But the left’s aggressive transgender agenda has influenced schools, companies, and governments to ditch terms used by Americans for centuries, in favor of terms that will avoid offending a minute number of people.
This new order appears to be a response to that memo, and possibly others. The transgender movement is trying to impose its ideology on gender and sexuality on nearly every facet of American society.
Sanders has accused this trend of erasing women, instead of properly making and “celebrating” distinctions between men and women.
This order will certainly be embraced by many residents of Arkansas. But she is sure to face fierce backlash from Democrats and transgender activists, who will accuse her of discriminating against their group.
