In the aftermath of the Hamas attack in Israel, Americans have been stunned by public responses. Many progressives have blamed Israel for the terror attack. Even some Democrats in Congress have backed Palestine, seemingly ignoring what Hamas did.
College students and resident aliens have marched in American cities, in support of Gaza. They slandered Israel, parroting claims created by Hamas and other terror groups.
Perhaps Americans expected most celebrities in Hollywood to either stay silent or join progressives in condemning Israel. But a group of actors and entertainers just signed an open letter to President Biden. You won’t believe what they are demanding.
Hollywood celebrities from Amy Schumer to Sacha Baron Cohen to Chris Rock signed an open letter demanding that President Joe Biden “not rest” until Hamas releases the hostages it took during its terrorist attack on Israel…
“But our relief is tempered by our overwhelming concern that 220 innocent people, including 30 children, remain captive by terrorists, threatened with torture and death,” it added. “They were taken by Hamas in the savage massacre of October 7, where over 1,400 Israelis were slaughtered — women raped, families burned alive, and infants beheaded.” [Source: Breitbart]
Celebrities including Amy Schumer, Sacha Baron Cohen, Chris Rock, Gwyneth Paltrow, Katy Perry, Bradley Cooper, and Justin Timberlake signed an open letter calling on Biden to “not rest” until all the hostages taken by Hamas are released.
The letter did not shy away from exposing the actions of this anti-Semitic terror network. The Hollywood celebrities condemned the actions of Hamas and highlighted some of the worst atrocities they committed against helpless civilians.
Unlike many progressives, these celebrities made a clear distinction between terror group Hamas and the Palestinian people. The letter condemned Hamas claiming is has “terrorized, oppressed, and victimized” the Palestinians for years.
Many protesters have failed to make this same distinction. Some groups, like BLM chapters, have appeared to applaud the actions of Hamas, comparing themselves with the Middle Eastern terror group.
The letter went on to thank President Biden for standing alongside Israel during the conflict. There have been numerous progressives within the Democratic Party who have called on Biden to abandon our ally and support Palestine. Some have even issued ominous warnings against Biden, such as Rep. Rashida Tlaib.
The letter was also signed by notable Hollywood producers like David Geffen, Judd Apatow, and Larry Elison.
