Biden Makes Disastrous Primary Blunder – Sends Democrats Scrambling to Save Him

In a move that defied decades of electoral history, Joe Biden convinced Democrats to change their primary schedule. He moved to make South Carolina the first state to vote, seemingly to pander to black voters.

He did this without the support of numerous states, including New Hampshire. Historically, New Hampshire was one of the first states to go to the primary polls. Biden’s move made them far less important in national elections.

But, New Hampshire is moving forward with its planned primary. Biden, refusing to acknowledge their schedule, made one serious mistake. And now, Democrats are scrambling to ensure he can actually win!

Aiming to prevent President Biden from suffering an electoral embarrassment in New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary, Biden’s backers in the Granite State on Monday launched a ballot write-in effort on his behalf.

The newly launched grassroots organizing push by some of the biggest names in New Hampshire Democratic circles comes one week after Biden declined to place his name on the state’s primary ballot.

With New Hampshire certain to hold a primary that’s out of compliance with the Democratic National Committee’s revamped 2024 nominating calendar – a schedule first suggested by the president late last year that removes the state from its century-old leadoff position – Biden’s avoiding the unsanctioned contest. [Source: Fox News]

In what can only be described as an act of suicidal stubbornness, Biden declined to get his name on New Hampshire’s primary ballot. He did this to defy New Hampshire’s 100-year history of holding the “first-in-the-nation” presidential primary.

Biden lobbied to change the primary schedule, something New Hampshire did not agree to. So, Biden refused to get his name on the ballot. Meaning, when New Hampshire Democrats go to vote in the primaries–Biden’s name won’t be there!

To save the man some embarrassment, New Hampshire Democrats are scrambling to get votes to write in Joe’s name. This “grassroots” movement is more of a Hail Mary attempt to preserve Biden’s chances at winning New Hampshire’s delegates.

The reason for the panic could be due to Dean Phillips’ entry into the race. The Minnesota Democrat is running against Joe Biden–and just filed to get his name on New Hampshire’s primary ballots.

It is possible that Democrat voters will select Phillips since his name will be on the ballot, not Biden’s. This might not result in Biden losing the primary battle, but it will be used by Republicans to undermine his fitness for office.

Biden is regularly accused by critics of being too old to serve. Declining to put his name on a primary ballot might be spun by Republicans as evidence that Biden’s mental health is worse than many have feared.
