Woke City Shocked by Voters – You Won’t Believe What They Just Passed!

I don’t have to tell you about the rampant crime, drug addiction, homelessness, and poverty in large, blue cities. The problems are only getting worse, year over year. Progressive mayors and city councils have refused to uphold law and order.

The results have been devastating. Businesses are shutting down. Countless residents are fleeing for greener pastures. It might not be long until once thriving cities are little more than drug-infested ghost towns.

And Democrats refuse to do anything about it.

But in one major blue city, the voters are fighting back. This city was once a tourist hotspot. Today, its downtown is a cesspool, as homeless drug addicts litter the streets and shoplifters have free rein. So, voters are fighting to take their city back, with the passage of these shock bills.

San Francisco voters passed a pair of law-and-order ballot measures on Tuesday night, including one that would require welfare recipients suspected of using drugs to undergo screenings to receive benefits…

The welfare requirement, called Proposition F, had 63 percent support as of Wednesday morning, according to the most recent election results online. Proposition E, which expanded some police surveillance powers and reined in some oversight, had support from 60 percent of voters. There are still votes to be counted but the measure’s proponents declared victory, while left-wing detractors grumbled about the results, saying they would backfire and reverse progress. “Progress.” Yes, I guess if you view rampant crime and drug addiction “progress,” then these left-wing policies have been a smashing success.

Voters in San Francisco passed two ballot measures aimed at rolling back disastrous progressive policies. One of the measures will require drug screenings for those seeking welfare benefits. This comes as drug addicts fill the streets, creating tent cities that pose a threat to commuters, businesses, and families.

Chances are, many of these drug addicts are able to thrive, because they are getting handouts from the city. Drug screenings would shut down their gravy train, forcing them to enter rehab before they can get benefits.

The other measure is an attempt to scale back progressive limits on police. It is unknown if the city has been able to rescind a law that decriminalizes shoplifting. But this appears to be a step in the right direction.

Since 2018, radical progressive city leaders have pushed insane policies that have only lead to increases in crime and poverty. But many voters in blue cities have been fighting to store law-and-order, fund police departments, and reject measures that reward crime.

San Francisco could inspire more voters in other cities to do much the same. Who knows? They might get their cities back.
