After Trump Dominates Latest Primary States – GOP Makes Startling Announcement

Donald Trump defied the establishment last year when he refused to attend the GOP debates. So-called experts claimed this would only hurt the man, as voters would be turned off by his snub. But many Republican candidates who did attend those debates quickly collapsed.

The top two left at the start of this year were Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley. But DeSantis dropped out of the race soon after voting started. He still had a large war chest of funds, but clearly saw the writing on the wall.

Only Nikki Haley continued until Super Tuesday. Despite her recent departure from the race, there are still Republicans opposed to a second Trump administration. This week, the former president secured further primary wins. Now, the GOP is making a big announcement.

Donald Trump is the presumptive GOP nominee for President.

According to Decision Desk HQ, projections indicate that former President Trump will emerge victorious in the GOP primary in Washington, securing the Republican presidential nomination and positioning him for a potential rematch against President Biden.

Trump secured a minimum of 1,215 delegates, which is the threshold required to clinch the Republican nomination. Before the Tuesday primaries, Trump had garnered 1,077 delegates, leaving a gap of at least 138 delegates to be secured.

GOP group “RNC Research” quickly announced online that Trump “eclipsed the delegate threshold” and has now clinched the Republican nomination for president.

A candidate needs 1,215 delegates to secure the nomination. At the time of this writing, Trump has won 1,241 delegates—surpassing the threshold. Although some states have yet to go to the polls, Trump has more than enough delegates to be the nominee.

This means that 2024 will largely be a rematch of the 2020 Election. Joe Biden will be entering the election on his back foot. He will have to convince voters to keep him in office, after four years of an open border, rampaging crime, painful inflation, and growing wars overseas.

Meanwhile, former President Trump will only have to point at his successes from his first term. Record-low inflation and interest rates, booming wages and jobs, peace deals around the world, a closed border, and a hard stance on crime.

But this election could look very different from 2020. The addition of independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could change the outcome dramatically. Some believed he would take votes from Trump, giving Biden an easy victory.

However, all signs point to moderate voters—sick of Biden’s dementia and corruption—will look at RFK as a much better alternative to Trump or Joe. RFK might help Trump secure a second term—bringing Biden’s failed dictatorship to a speedy end.
