This week, Donald Trump once again made history. He secured the Republican nomination for president for a third time. By winning several additional states, he surpassed the needed delegates, ensuring he will be facing off against Joe Biden in November.
Biden is in a much worse position than Trump. Over the last four years, Biden has made a mess of the United States. On top of that, he is suffering significant cognitive decline.
All Trump has to do is point to his successes from his first term in office to beat Biden. Trump helped grow the economy, protect the border, and saw wages increase. But he’s going even further than that. After securing the Republican nomination, he made this vow to America’s retired population.
Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively on Wednesday evening that he will never touch Social Security or Medicare.
Asked during a 90-minute exclusive interview — his first print interview since locking down the Republican nomination for president for a third straight election — about cutting government waste, Trump pledged to never do anything to cut Social Security or Medicare.
“I will never do anything that will jeopardize or hurt Social Security or Medicare,” Trump said. “We’ll have to do it elsewhere. But we’re not going to do anything to hurt them.”…
“There’s so many things we can do,” Trump said. “There’s so much cutting and so much waste in so many other areas, but I’ll never do anything to hurt Social Security.” [Source: Breitbart]
Over the years, Joe Biden has repeatedly lied that Trump and Republicans will cut Medicare and Social Security. Despite a lack of evidence and statements from Republicans, Biden continues to push this factless claim.
But Donald Trump made it very clear in a recent interview that, while he plans to cut waste from the government, he will “never” touch Medicare or Social Security.
Trump has long made that vow. Before entering office in 2016, he promised to not only not cut these benefits but to expand them. During his first term, even as some advisors told him to cut these programs, Trump actually found ways to increase them.
In reality, Biden and the Democrats have tried many times to limit or diminish benefits to retired Americans. Biden’s priority has not been Americans, retired or otherwise. He has been burning through tax dollars to benefit everyone but Americans.
He has opened the border to millions of illegal immigrants. He has sent billions to Ukraine—to enrich the military-industrial complex. And he wants to spend even more to aid Gaza, and the anti-Israel forces inside it.
Not once have we seen him do anything to make retired Americans’ lives better. Yet we are supposed to believe his wild claims about Trump?
I don’t think so.
