Democrats out of New York issued a shocking ruling that outraged millions. Without a jury (or evidence) they found Trump guilty of over-valuing his properties. Neither banks nor investors thought this. But Democrats running the trial ignored evidence and testimonies and found Trump guilty.
They demanded he pay the corrupt state $330 million in fines. Trump has already appealed the decisions. So, the court demanded he post a ridiculous $464 million bond.
An appeals court slashed that price to $175 million. Donald Trump revealed he was going to pay the sum. Now, it looks like a few big-pocket GOP donors are stepping in with a way to help. And if they come through, the left will really be cheesed!
Billionaires who are also donors to the Republican Party are planning to help former President Donald Trump with his bond in his civil fraud case in New York, according to reports.
Sources told Reuters that billionaire hedge fund founder John Paulson is one of the major donors who is looking to help with Trump’s legal expenses.
On Monday, a New York appeals court ruled that the bond in the former president’s case be reduced from $464 million to $175 million…
A Trump campaign spokesperson told Reuters that there is no coordinated effort to help Trump, now the GOP’s 2024 presumptive presidential nominee, with legal expenses and he has enough money to pay it off. [Source: Just the News]
A few big-pocket Republican donors are willing to post Donald Trump’s $175 million bond in the New York case. Trump is appealing the judge’s verdict but has to post bond to continue.
Hedge fund founder John Paulson is one of the donors who could step in and provide the money. This would be a huge blow to the left’s plans—which seem to revolve around draining Trump of resources for his presidential campaign.
If some scoff at the idea of Republicans helping Trump, keep in mind Democrats have been doing this for Hunter Biden for years. Wealthy liberal allies have provided Joe’s son with housing, and money, and even covered his legal bills.
But it is likely Trump will turn down their offers, generous as they are. He is soon to receive a major windfall from the merger of his Truth Social network. Some sources indicate he is worth $6.4 billion.
For big donors to be willing to step up and do this, however, is a strong sign of support for the Republican candidate. It shows that major players within the GOP are behind Trump’s return to the White House. That can shatter claims of dissent within the party and help unite them against Biden.
