It is well known how Joe Biden relies on White House staff. His handlers carefully control much of Biden’s public appearances. This is for an obvious reason; Biden continues to say and do things that cast doubt on his mental abilities.
Democrats and the administration deny anything is wrong with the president. That hasn’t reassured Americans, the majority of whom—according to most polls—believe Biden is experiencing cognitive decline.
Now, a new report is revealing what the White House has been doing to protect President Biden. Their own official records reveal the shocking number of times they had to do this one thing—that only further casts doubt on Biden’s ability.

In just the first few months of 2024 alone, the White House has had to correct Biden’s public remarks at least 148 times. Speeches, remarks, and comments Biden makes during official events are recorded in transcripts that become official records.
It is not uncommon for the White House to provide clarifications to something a president said, especially off-the-cuff comments that require context. But those clarifications are supposed to be few and far between.
With this White House, however, Biden is making so many mistakes, gaffes, and garbled comments. It appears his staff are constantly trying to correct what he said. Even with written remarks and teleprompter guidance, Biden makes glaring mistakes.
In one instance, while discussing his American Rescue Plan (a bill that added over $1 trillion to the national debt and triggered runaway inflation), Biden claimed that “every American voted against” the bill. The White House had to cross out “American” and put “[Republican]” to clarify Biden’s mistake.
Another transcript shows Biden said, “I’ve always believed we’ve got it all wrong.” The White House had to cross out “we’ve” and add in “[they’ve].” According to the Daily Caller, the White House even put out a transcript that falsely portrayed what Biden said during an event.
This only appears to underscore what critics have been saying for years. That Joe Biden is suffering from cognitive decline, to the point that he is unable to communicate properly. The White House might be denying it, but their own corrections seem to be proving this fear.
