Well, what do ya know? The Democrats indicted Donald Trump, again. We told you they weren’t going to stop trying to undermine the 2024 Election. Chances are, they’ll indict him a fourth time, with a case brewing out of Atlanta.
Every last American with a conscious knows this is a gross attempt at hijacking our democracy. Democrats have accused Trump of many things since he entered politics. Why should we believe this indictment–when he is their biggest political rival? But to the shock of all Americans, especially Republicans, Trump’s former ally came out with a statement nobody was expecting.
Former Vice President Mike Pence did not parse words when reacting to former President Trump’s indictment by Special Counsel Jack Smith on Tuesday.
In a statement released following Trump’s indictment on charges related to the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol and efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, Pence accused Trump of putting himself over the Constitution, and said a Trump candidacy would serve as a distraction from President Biden’s “disastrous” record.
“Today’s indictment serves as an important reminder: anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States,” Pence said. “I will have more to say about the government’s case after reviewing the indictment.” [Source: Fox News]
Mike Pence, whose presidential campaign received a death blow during an interview with Tucker Carlson, came out seemingly to support the left’s gross and unprecedented third indictment of former President Trump.
Pence, the former vice president under the Trump administration, appeared to agree with the left’s narrative that Trump tried to illegally overturn the 2020 Election results. Pence said this indictment–which was concocted by Democrats serving Joe Biden–proves Trump “put himself” before the Constitution.
Although claiming Trump has the “presumption” of innocence, Pence all but condemned him by saying he “should never be President of the United States.” Uh, Mike, Trump already was.
Pence lost all credibility with millions of Americans when he refused a request by numerous state lawmakers to send back the 2020 Election results to the states. Despite the fact these lawmakers voted to investigate irregularities, Pence sided with the D.C. swamp to crown Joe Biden president.
Now, he is running against Trump and his statement is tainted by ulterior motives.
At the moment, most Republican leaders are siding with Trump and condemning the left’s endless indictments. This might serve to only solidify Trump’s nomination and perhaps his 2024 victory. Yet Pence appears to be joining the group that is weaponizing the justice system to influence our elections.
Very bad move, Mike.
