Why is it that every clown that makes it big thinks their opinion matters more than ours? From actors to athletes, celebrities love to spout their ideas for America. They never seem to stop and consider if Americans actually agree with them.
NBA star LeBron James is known for more than his accomplishments as an athlete. He’s used his considerable fame to spread some of the most idiotic left-wing ideas since AOC.
He recently commented on a shooting at the University of Nevada. Like most liberal gas bags, he demanded more gun control. He even called gun ownership “stupid.” But what was really stupid was how he ignored this one fact.

He continued, saying, “The fact that we haven’t changed anything — it’s actually been easier to be able to own a firearm. … It’s stupid.”
James did not provide an example of how buying a firearm has become easier…
Moreover, Breitbart News reported that UNLV’s campus was a gun free zone. The school’s policy website points to a state law–NRS 2o2.265–which prohibits firearms on campuses, and the university policy mirrors that statute. [Source: Breitbart]
James arrogantly insulted the United States after a recent event where a 67-year-old man used a handgun to allegedly kill three victims and injure a fourth. The basketball player used this event to claim it has become “easier” to get a firearm in America.
What he did not say is how existing gun laws make it much harder for someone to buy a gun. A federal background check is required every time someone tries to buy a gun. On top of that, UNLV is a “gun free” zone, meaning it is against school policy for anyone to bring a gun on campus.
Of course, this policy could not stop this suspect from opening fire on students–it only ensured that nobody else on campus was able to defend themselves.
Democrats are quick to ignore the fact that existing gun control only makes gun crime easier. Law-abiding citizens go about defenseless, while criminals ignore gun restrictions.
What LeBron is advocating will do nothing to stop a criminal from hurting others. He knows full well that someone intent on breaking the law will get their hands on a gun. What Democrats are trying to do is make Americans more vulnerable to violence, forcing us to rely more and more on an overpowered government.
Meanwhile, rich, entitled liberals like LeBron enjoy the luxury of living in gated communities, private security, and owning their own firearms.
